Ethics and Culture in the Vietnamese Context

 

Introduction

Ethics and Culture in Context is a project initiated by Vietnamese-born, Dr Anh Tho Andres, a Certified Translator and Researcher on Ethics in Higher Education based in Geneva, Founder of yourvietbooks.com and other related projects on development and sustainability. The project aims to understand the Vietnamese culture and the transformation of its people through modern times.

Inspired by the works of Prof. Nguyen Manh Hung,  Historian and Vietnamologist, Founder of Hong Bang University (Vietnam), the Vietnam Hoc Institute is now coming to Geneva, and will be promoting the Vietnam Hoc as a subjet matter to all persons interested in the field of intercultural studies, international business, intercultural communication in the context of globalisation.

The Vietnam Hoc Institute (short name: VHI Institute) will be registered as a non-profit organisation with the following attributes: 

A.   Mission Statement :

Our Mission: Ethics and Culture in the Vietnamese Context 

Our Vision: Largest network of Vietnam Hoc Experts on Vietnam Humanistic studies.

Our Objectives : Provide learning resources for Vietnamologists worldwide through publications, research and training of Vietnam Hoc modules. 

B.    Services :

1) Research and digitalisation of ancient texts and historical artifacts of Vietnam from the origin to contemporary literature in modern times.

2) Publications of research works of Vietnamese and other Southeast and East Asian Scholars. 

3) Training seminars and workshops on Intercultural communication with focus on Vietnamese Language and Culture in modern times.
